Inspiration

 We went to Fort Nelson

I loved these buckets, in a row, neat and ready, below is a bucket I am wanting for Somerset House, I saw one once at a show and decided not to buy it and I have never seen one I liked since.

 The Victorian Kitchen was great.

The bunk room, where they lived, slept and ate.

  1. Ooh Marlene that looks an amazing place. I too love the buckets - have you tried Sussex Crafts for the buckets?

  3. Reminds me of our own Fort Niagara. It is always interesting to see how they lived.

By the way, did you know that powdered lemonade was made during the war for American independance from Great Britain? Neither did I, When we toured Fort Niagara, one of the "character actors" in the kitchen told us that the wives/girl friend/sisters of the soldiers would soak sugar with lemon juice then place it in the sun to dry. This, they would send to their loved ones while they were at war. I found that so interesting.
